We work to support the adoption and maintenance of healthy behaviors and understand that this support must happen wherever people live, work, worship, play and age. Health coaches move people to adopt healthy, sustainable behaviors than can change the course of their lives. They empower clients to develop and leverage their strengths to support successful behavioral change. You are not our patients; you are our clients, and we partner together in your journey. Health coaching is people centered care. The client is in the driver’s seat. Instead of asking what is the matter with you, health coaching seeks to ask what matters to you. Health coaches are all about behavioral change, and health behaviors are at the center of a person’s state of wellness. Health behavior refers to behavior related to, or affecting, health. Wellness is not just the absence of disease, rather the state of complete wellbeing. Health coaching is a tool to use to help you reach a state of wellness, of thriving in your environment, whatever that means to you. Health coaching is a person-centered approach to behavioral change, which means it all about you, and the factors in your life that effect your health. All factors that influence health, wellness, and disease are taken into consideration including mind, spirit, community, and body.
